FAQ
WAL FAQ’S
-
WAL Industries was founded by Pablo Alvarez, who spent over 20 years building Pumps & Pressure Inc. into one of Western Canada's most recognized industrial equipment suppliers. When Pumps & Pressure was acquired and the business shifted away from the brands and service model customers depended on, Pablo started WAL Industries in Red Deer to continue serving those same customers with the same trusted brands. If you worked with Pumps and Pressure, WAL Industries is where you go now.
-
WAL Industries services most major commercial brands, including Hotsy, Easy-Kleen, and BE Pressure, not just the brands we sell. Commercial pressure washers, air compressors, and pumps share common components and engineering principles, so a qualified technician can service most systems as long as parts are available. If your equipment needs repair and you're not sure if we can help, call us and we'll tell you straight.
-
WAL Industries operates a mobile service team that comes to your location in Central Alberta. For large or stationary equipment, on-site service is often the only practical option, and it's how we operate by default. We serve businesses from Leduc to Airdrie and Rocky Mountain House to Drumheller, with extended coverage into Edmonton, Calgary, and broader Western Canada.
-
Commercial-grade pressure washers are engineered for continuous, heavy-duty use and typically deliver 10 or more years of service life with proper maintenance. Consumer-grade machines sold at retailers like Canadian Tire or Princess Auto are built for occasional residential use and typically last 1.5 to 3 years under real working conditions. WAL Industries supplies commercial and industrial-grade equipment from Karcher and Dynablast, backed by factory-authorized service in Red Deer.
-
WAL Industries carries Karcher pressure washers and cleaning equipment, Dynablast Canadian-made pressure washers and hot water heating systems, DV Systems Canadian-built rotary screw air compressors, and Meclube lubrication and fluid handling systems. For accessories and parts, we stock Mosmatic, Suttner, Coxreels, and PA sPa Topring. WAL Industries is the factory-authorized dealer for each of these brands in Central Alberta.
-
WAL Industries is based in Red Deer, Alberta, and serves Central Alberta as its primary market. The core service area runs from Leduc in the north to Airdrie in the south, and from Rocky Mountain House in the west to Drumheller in the east. Extended coverage includes Edmonton, Calgary, and markets across Western Canada.
-
The right equipment size depends on your specific application, operating pressure requirements, duty cycle, and site conditions. WAL Industries will walk through these details with you before recommending anything. Call us or send a message with a description of your operation and we will give you a straight answer on what makes sense for your workload and budget.
-
WAL Industries stocks parts for Karcher, DV Systems, Meclube, and Dynablast equipment, along with a broad range of components for commercial pressure washers, air compressors, and lubrication systems. We also carry parts and accessories from Mosmatic, Suttner, Coxreels, Topring, and other suppliers. We have readily accessible parts for CAT pumps, Hotsy, General Pumps, and Interpump. If you need a part and are not sure we have it, call us with the make, model, and what you need and we will find it.
-
WAL Industries is primarily a business-to-business dealer serving commercial, industrial, and agricultural operations in Central Alberta. Our equipment starts at commercial specifications, which means it is built for working environments rather than residential use. If you are a homeowner looking for a professional-grade machine, we are happy to talk through your options, but our core focus is businesses with real operational equipment needs.
-
WAL Industries handles custom wash, air, and lubrication system installations for businesses that need more than off-the-shelf equipment. This includes self-contained wash systems with onboard water, instrument air setups for processing facilities, complete lube islands for service bays, and integrated systems for new facility builds. Contact us with your project details and we will assess what the right configuration looks like for your operation.
PRESSURE WASHER FAQ’S
-
A pressure washer uses a motor or engine to drive a pump, forcing water through a nozzle at high pressure. The result is a focused, high-velocity stream that removes dirt, grease, mud, and contamination that ordinary washing can't touch. Commercial and industrial units are built for continuous use at bar ratings far beyond anything available at a big box store.
-
It depends on what you're cleaning, how often, and where. Bar pressure, flow rate, hot or cold water, power source, and portability all factor in. We'll work through those variables with you and help you land on the right unit. That's the part we actually enjoy.
-
Cold water handles dirt, mud, and general debris well. Hot water adds heat to break down grease, oil, and biological residue. For oilfield, agricultural, and heavy fleet work, hot water usually isn't optional. Using the wrong type means either overspending on capability you don't need or underperforming on a job that needs more.
-
Yes. Commercial pressure washers involve high-pressure pumps, seals, and heating components that need proper maintenance over time. Having a Red Deer dealer with real service capability behind your equipment means you have someone to call when something needs attention. We support what we sell. That's the whole point.
AIR COMPRESSOR FAQ’S
-
Match your compressor's CFM and PSI output to the combined demand of your air-powered tools and systems. Consider tank size, single-stage vs. two-stage design, HP rating, and whether you need a portable or stationary model. Your spec requirements should drive the decision, not price alone. If you're not sure where to start, give us a call. We're easy to talk to and we'll help you work it out.
-
Industrial and agricultural operations depend on consistent compressed air for critical daily tasks. An undersized or failing compressor creates bottlenecks, increases loading on remaining equipment, and costs far more in downtime than a proper upfront investment in the right model.
-
Yes. We're based in Red Deer and serve operations from Leduc to Airdrie and Rocky Mountain House to the Saskatchewan border. We're factory authorized for the brands we carry, which means warranty work, parts, and field service all come through us. One call, and we'll sort it out.
LUBRICATION SYSTEM FAQ’S
-
Lubrication systems are setups that deliver oil or grease to equipment components at controlled intervals and pressure. That can mean a simple grease gun and hose reel setup in a farm shop, or a more involved oil distribution system in a larger facility. Meclube makes equipment across that whole range, used in agriculture, trucking, oilfield, and industrial maintenance across Alberta.
-
Insufficient lubrication is one of the leading causes of early bearing failure and unplanned equipment downtime. Consistent, properly pressurized lubrication extends equipment life, lowers maintenance costs, and keeps operations running without interruption. That matters especially in Central Alberta, where your nearest service option might be an hour away.
-
Yes. We're a local Red Deer supplier, not a drop-shipper. We support what we sell, including parts, service calls, and troubleshooting by phone or on-site.
SERVICE FAQ’S
-
A thorough inspection, maintenance, repair, and verification of your commercial machinery, including pressure washers, air compressors, lubrication systems, and pumps. We address scheduled maintenance tasks like filter changes, oil top-ups, and belt inspections, plus diagnostic checks to catch problems before they cause a shutdown. The goal is to keep your equipment running, extend its life, and reduce what you spend on it over time.
-
It depends on the equipment, its condition, and what we find during the inspection. A routine preventative visit is almost always less expensive than an emergency repair or a full replacement. We give you an honest assessment before any work starts. No surprises on the invoice.
-
Most pressure washers and air compressors benefit from service once or twice a year, with extra attention at the start and end of high-use seasons. That matters especially in Alberta's ag and oilfield sectors. Lube systems and pumps should be looked at annually at minimum, more often in high-demand applications. Regular service is the single best way to avoid unplanned downtime.
-
Yes. We cover the corridor from Leduc to Airdrie and from Rocky Mountain House east to the Saskatchewan border, with service into Edmonton and Calgary for established clients. If you're in Central Alberta, there's a good chance we can come to you. Call us to confirm.
-
Call us and tell us what you're seeing. Unusual pressure, strange noise, output changes, error indicators. We can usually help you assess the situation over the phone and tell you whether it needs an immediate visit or can wait. You don't need to pre-diagnose the problem. That's our job.
-
We work on a wide range of commercial-grade equipment and focus on brands with proven quality and available parts. On an initial service call we'll assess your equipment and give you a clear picture of its condition and lifespan so you know exactly where you stand.
PUMPS & ACCESSORIES FAQ’S
-
We carry commercial and industrial-grade pressure washers, air compressors, and lubrication equipment. Our brands are Karcher, Dynablast, DV Systems, and Meclube. Selected for proven quality, parts availability, and long-term value in demanding Alberta operating conditions. We do not carry residential or light-duty equipment.
-
When something goes wrong with your equipment, the last thing you need is a call centre. We are factory-authorized by the brands we carry, which means warranty work, parts, and service come through us directly. You are talking to the same people who helped you spec the equipment in the first place. They know your operation because they asked the right questions when you bought it.
-
Cold water pressure washers handle loose dirt, mud, and general debris well. Hot water is what you need when grease, oil, or biological buildup is in the picture. Beyond that, flow rate and pressure ratings need to match the volume of work you are doing. Our team in Red Deer can walk you through the selection. We are not going to push you toward a product that does not fit your actual needs.
-
A rotary screw compressor runs continuously without the pressure cycling of a piston compressor. For operations running air tools, pneumatic lifts, or spray equipment throughout the day, a rotary screw unit delivers consistent pressure and runs cooler over long periods. If your shop air demand is high and constant, a DV Systems rotary screw is worth a conversation.
-
We carry Meclube lubrication systems including grease guns, hose reels, and fluid transfer equipment. Meclube is built for professional shop environments. The difference between a quality grease gun and a cheap one becomes obvious the first time a mechanic uses a good one. We carry equipment worth using.
-
We are factory-authorized for Karcher, Dynablast, DV Systems, and Meclube. If you are running any of those brands and need service, parts, or diagnostics, call us regardless of where you bought it. We would rather help you get more life out of good equipment than watch you replace something that did not need replacing.
-
Yes. We offer financing through preferred lenders for qualifying purchases, including monthly payment plans suited to small and mid-sized operations managing cash flow. Contact us for current options and to find out what applies to your purchase.
